Description
Starting at the main entrance to Balloch Country park this is a wonderful route up Whinny hill and may include some variation depending on the run lead.
The route starts off on the tarred road inside the country park and leads up to the castle. At that point you leave the tarred road and start the trail proper.
As with most of the routes in the area you will be running up a hill. For this route most of the climb is in the first
3 Kms
and after that it is mostly undulating and mainly downhill. Some of the run leads are known for adding in more climb but generally the group as a whole will decide what way to go. We’ll not name names will we Debbie.
